The Leopold

The Leopold Room, named after one of our more renowned visitors, the influential conductor Leopold Stowkowski, is our main salon. Whether writing a postcard or composing an aria on the baby grand, you'll find the eclectic collection of books, art, and fine furnishings an inspired setting steeped in history.

Breakfast Gallery

Our breakfast gallery has been called a living watercolor, where the bright light streaming through the skylights and conservatory windows animate the artist's work. And the acclaimed gourmet breakfast is as inventive as the decor. At Touchstone, the days begin softly, with Spanish guitar strumming in the background.

Guest Rooms

All rooms at Touchstone have private luxury baths, down comforters and pillows, oriental rugs, TV/VCR/HBO, tape/cd player, coffee maker, hair dryer, out-going telephone, ceiling fan, fine art. Most rooms have private patios and outside entrance. All rooms are decorated in classic Southwestern elegance. Some rooms have cowhides on the floor, and rich textiles are a main focus of the decor. Four rooms have Jacuzzi tubs; all rooms have custom luxury baths - robes provided, and most rooms have Kiva fireplaces. Full gourmet vegetarian and Continental breakfasts are offered.

The Royale

Sumptuously appointed two room suite; climb the private stairway to your own deck and view of Taos Mountain and Rio Pueblo. Luxuriously tiled bath with Jacuzzi tub, domed skylight and walk-in shower. It even has a wet bar and candle Kiva fireplace. The Royal sleeps 2 in a King Bed or 4 in twins and a Queen size sleeper sofa. The Frida Kahlo

"The room at the top of the stairs," the Frida is one of our favorites, with its Jacuzzi tub-shower, candle fireplace, king size bed and an absolutely magnificent view of Taos Mountain right off your own private deck.
